Complete kit · antiracismstrategy.org

A complete, ready-to-adapt anti-racism strategy and action plan that any
Australian council can fill in, take to Council and adopt as its own.

Published by the Anti-Racism Community Collective, with support from
Associate Professor Mario Peucker, Victoria University.

Everything in this kit is free to use and adapt. None of it is subject to
copyright. All templates are unbranded, so a council can adopt them as its
own document.

One report template covering all three decisions: resolving to prepare
the strategy, endorsing it for public exhibition, and adopting it.

      councillors most often ask.

for public exhibition. Speaker notes and timings on every slide.

    Officer-Guide-Contested-Debates.pdf 5 pages

after a change of council, media lines, and supporting staff.

  BACKGROUND
    Companion-Paper-Choosing-a-Model-Strategy.pdf 6 pages
Comparing whole-of-racism and single-issue approaches for Australian
councils, and why a general framework is the better starting point.

  FOR COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS
    Model-Letter-to-Council.docx / .pdf 2 pages
A one-page letter template a community organisation can send to its
mayor and councillors asking the council to adopt an anti-racism
strategy, plus a page of advice on sending it.

HOW TO USE IT

Councils: start with the Guideline. It takes you through the strategy
section by section and tells you where every figure comes from.

Community organisations: start with the letter.

Text highlighted in yellow in the Word templates is a placeholder to
replace with local information. Text marked [Optional] can be deleted.
